The simple rules of Peace Room

Written in plain language. Please read them before you take part.

1

What Peace Room is

Peace Room is a calm, private place to work through a disagreement. An AI Peace Guide helps each person put their thoughts into words, and the group works toward an agreement they all approve. It is a tool to support conversation. It does not decide who is right.

2

What Peace Room is not

The Peace Guide is an AI. It is not a lawyer, doctor, therapist or counsellor, and it does not give legal, medical, financial or mental health advice. Peace Room is not a crisis service. If you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services right away.

3

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older. You keep your sign-in email to yourself and give accurate details. You are responsible for what you do with your account.

4

Using it respectfully

Everyone in a room deserves to feel safe. Please do not use Peace Room to:

  • threaten, harass, abuse or pressure anyone;
  • share another person's private information;
  • post anything unlawful, or anything meant to deceive;
  • try to get around the privacy or safety protections.

Messages that look unsafe may be held back, and rooms may be paused while a safety report is looked at.

5

Rooms and invitations

You can own up to 3 rooms at a time. Invitation links are personal, work once, and expire after 7 days. Only the owner can close a room, and closing is final. A room ends as Resolved only when every active participant approves the agreement.

6

Your words

What you write stays yours. Private conversations are visible only to you. Anything you choose to share with a room can be read by the people in that room. Nothing is shared without your approval, and we do not use your private conversations to train AI models. See the Privacy page for the details.

7

No guarantee of an outcome

We cannot promise that a room will end in an agreement, or that anyone will keep one. An agreement made in Peace Room is a record of what people chose to commit to. It is not a legal contract unless the people involved make it one separately.
